Silvia hails from the USA and Rijn from South Africa – they have lived in a few different countries, I understand and certainly had friends and family from around the world to witness them pledge themselves to one another.
We met for the first time on their wedding day – which was a beautiful late summer’s day in the Cape Winelands.
It was our first time working at Jordan Wine Estate, which is very beautiful indeed and perfect for those wanting a smaller, more intimate wedding and incredible food.
With views from the terrace and restaurant across a big lawn, pond and onto the Stellenbosch mountains, it’s about as Cape Winelands as you can get.
When Silvia sent us a picture of her dress, we were in girly heaven – it was just gorgeous, slightly grecian, flowy with some incredible beading on it – and not a hint of vintage anywhere. It’s one of the most special parts of our day, is designing the brides bouquet to match her personality, dress, stature, hair styling and overall mood of the wedding.
And we get a huge thrill out of seeing the look on a brides face when we hand it over – we like to do this personally, as it is a big confirmation for us that we got it right for you, if the bouquet is perfect and happily received.
Enough talking – more pictures – courtesy of the lovely Claire from Claire Nicola Photography.
